When my daughter was about 3, she had a habit of barging in on me where ever I was, yelling,
"Mommy! You in here?" One evening this exact thing happened, I was in the bathroom, it was "that time of month". My child looked at me in horror, fleeing from the room screaming,
"Daddy, Daddy, Mommy is bleeding!!!!"
Well, I knew an explanation was needed. I did my best to explain to this 3 year old, what was going on, we talked of babies, and eggs, and of life. After some time, she seemed to understand, <as well as a 3 yr old could> and was calm and back to normal.
A month passes, once again, I'm menstruating, once again she barges in <our bathroom had no lock> This time she peers at me quizzically, and states loudly,
"Mommy.......... <she sighs> You have got to STOP eating all those eggs!!"

One afternoon, she (my daughter Jennifer) was about 3 or 4, she was playing with a small ball. I had a milk crate next to our stereo with record albums in it. She bounced the ball, it went behind the crate.
She says, "How do I get the ball ?" My husband replies, "Jennifer, use your head."
My child proceeds down on her knees, puts her head on the crate, then begins to cry.
She belts out, " I'm trying to use my head, but I don't know how!!"

One summer afternoon, my sister and I were at McDonalds, the kids were all enjoying Happy Meals. My sister needed to leave quickly, so she said,
"Heather, hurry and drink up, we have to go"
Heather looked at her Mommy with a silly expression and replied, "Mommy, how can I drink up ? Wouldn't I be drinking it down ?"
