| Singing Ghost |

OK I was 12 years old when all this happened
OK I was in the car just hanging out with my cousin and her
boyfriend and we were just driving along like usually so we went
to see my other cousins new house and its right by a grave yard
and so we went by the grave yard to get there and we saw the
house and was heading to go drop me off at my house and we were
like not even a mile away from the grave yard when we heard this
song on country you probably know it, IM already there (I think
that's the name but that's the coures)like IM already there take
a look around yeah you got my drift but i was looking out the
window and i heard a little girls voice singing so i just
thought my cousin was doing her baby voice so i ignored it so
like one second after my cousin turned around and asked if that
was me i said no i thought it was you but she said it wasn't and
i know it wasn't her boyfriend so we listened and thought he
just changed his song but n e way it only sung the courses and
then it would stop and my cousin said if you still here give us
another sign (a fanatic like she is of ghost)but the little girl
sang it again and then at the end of the song she said IM
leaving now and it scared me so much.and the bad thing was i was
in the back seat alone and nothing was in the seat beside me.and
the next day my cousin said she heard that song on the radio and
she didn't hear the little girl so when i hear that song it
makes me shiver so bad. That song scares me.

The Old Woman
|
This tale happened to me when I was 19.
I just left home for the 2nd time in my life and moved to another
town (where I still live). Anyway, I got my first job as a
computer/clerk and moved into a house with a woman and her four
kids. The house was built early last century (20th) with a small
porch at the front. next to the house was a disused garage on a
block of land. One night I came back from a party, yes I was drunk,
as i stumbled to put my key into the thousands of swirling locks, I
suddenly had this awful feeling of someone watching me. Sure enough,
there was an old woman wearing a white nightdress standing on some
pile of dirt. How did this old woman get here, I mummbled and
staggered into the house. I forgot about it until a few nights later
I came home late from work, sober, and decided to go the back way.
As I about to insert the key, I had that feeling again. I turned
around and there she was again. Standing there glaring at me. I
couldn't really see her face but her gray hair was all tangled as if
she just got of bed. Impossible, i thought, the nursing home is ages
away from here.
I left her to it. Now, comes the
strangest bit. The old woman somehow had this thing against me.
Strange things would happen. One night a mate of mine came over with
a Video. We put it on and soon as the Vid started, the lights went
on and off, windows started slamming, doors slamming, my mate's
going nuts and ran out the door. The Vid cassest narrowly missed my
head. I told him about the old woman and he told me never again is
he coming back to the house. Another weird thing too. I was by
myself one day and the woman's kids had this poofy poodle. Anyway, i
was reading a book when a white fluff, thats the only word i can
think of, came floating past me followed by the poofy poodle barking
at it. I blinked then the poodle came running bacjk with the fluff
chasing it. That was it. Old woman and a ghostly piece of fluff, I
was out. That was very strange house that one was.

My Mother's Ghost Story
I am 12, I have had a few ghost
encounters, but none as scary and frightening as my Mums,
she once lived in Holland, with her best friend, In a flat.
They lived just below a woman who got drunk practically
every night. One night, my mother had been drinking and had
a banging headache looking forward to a good nights sleep,
when the woman upstairs got in, very drunk as usual, but
that night, the drunken woman was unusually loud, banging
around, smashing things and moving furniture, my mother was
very tired, and said out loud "Grr, I wish you would just
drop dead" she didn't really mean it, she was just tired and
annoyed. The next day my Mum got home from work and saw lots
of police standing around the flat upstairs, and my mother
asked what was going on, the police officer said that
earlier today, the woman above your flat just dropped dead.
My mother was flabbergasted and
went to bed that night with a terrible feeling. She finally
dropped to sleep but woke up later that night, the room was
freezing cold, but the windows and doors were all shut. Then
my Mum saw this white misty figure appear in front of her,
she then realised that the figure was the ghost of the woman
upstairs, the one thing that my Mother didn't understand was
that the ghost was dressed in victorian clothes. The ghost
bent down, right next to my Mum, my Mum sat up, she could
feel the icy breath on her face, the the ghost stuck her
hands out and was moving them closer and closer to my Mums
waist, my Mother thought, I f this woman touches me, i'll
scream. The ghost got so near, just about to touch when it
dissapeared , my Mother screamed anyway and awoke her best
friend, her best friend told her it was her imagination, but
my Mum knew it was all real...

Even though I don't live in West Virginia,
this still makes for a good story. The story starts in Detroit, MI. My
Grandparents old house. My Grandma is from Guam (that is an island in
the Pacific) she believes in God and knows what it takes to be brave.
One day she was at home, in Michigan, when a knock came to the door it
was her brother and all he said was "good-bye" and left. As she closed
the door she got a call from her sister saying that her brother died 2
hours ago. Four years later she moved into a house in Mount Clemens.
Ever since I can remember somebody was there. Every night I slept there
funny things would happen like in the middle of the night you would hear
somebody walking, turning on/off the water, lights would turn on and
off, and if you turned around fast enough you would see a figure. One
night it was my nana and I she tucked me in and soon after fell asleep.
As I lie awake somebody walked in my room turned on the light kissed me
and said goodnight been used to it yet still afraid I said in a scared
voice "goodnight " and fell a sleep. Now you might think I am making it
up, and I don't doubt you but if you ever come to Michigan be careful
they might come for you!
Surrey in England |
I'm from Walton on Thames which
is in quite a large county called Surrey in England.
I have always had my fair share
of encounters with the supernatural and have grown up to not
be afraid of the afterlife.
The story I'm going to tell is
the very first experience I had. I was about 8 or 9 years
old at the time (its quite difficult to remember) and the
school I went to was previously an all boys school (by the
time I got there it was mixed) there were always rumours of
certain parts of the school being haunted but I think
everyone, including me, put it down to those urban legend
type of rumours, I think the older ones had fun trying to
scare the younger pupils but I don't think anyone though it
to be true.
One day we were having a lesson
in the library (its probably best if I try and explain how
the library was situated, it is on the ground floor of the
largest block in the school and to get to it you have to go
down a very dimly lit corridor, at the end of the corridor
you have the entrance to the gym hall to your right and on
your left you had a few steps going up to the door of the
library) when the lesson was over we were making our way
back to the classroom when our teacher remembered she
had left a book in the library, she sent myself and another
girl called Natalie back to fetch it.
As myself and Natalie turned the
corridor leading to the library we saw a boy of about 16-17
walking in front of us, he looked very real, like you could
reach out and touch him. He was wearing a white shirt that
was slightly messy and untucked from his trousers, whixh
appeared to be war time, combat type trousers with black
boots. As suddenly as he appeared he vanished. I wasn't sure
if it was me imagining things but when Natalie piped up "did
you see that" I knew I wasn't.
We searched the gym and the
library high and low but there was no sign of him.
It was about a year later that I
noticed a plaque on the gym wall which was in memory of a
boy that had been a pupil at the school (when it had been an
all boys school) who got killed in WWII while on a navy
ship. Some of the wood from inside the ship was used for the
shelves for the library.
I am convinced to this day that
it was that boys ghost we saw.

Hi my names Scott. While growing up I moved around a lot
though we did live in one house for four years, and this is where my
stroy happens. the house was in an old tenement (flats) built in 1820
in Dundee -scotland- and it seemes that it had history.
my first experiance occured while my cousin was sleeping
over, i was 9 and not easily frightend but this freaked me out. we (me
and my cousin) where sleeping in the living room because it was warmer
than my room (it was winter). we were both asleep and it was the early
hours of the morning, I heard a noise and looked up. by the fire was
this thing, I have no idea what it was but it looked like a midjet
gargolye, i started to shake, I hit my cousin to wak him up and he
turned around and apon seeing the thing he gave a small shriek, the
thing looked at us, put a clawed "finger to its mouth and utterd "shhh"
then it bounded over the chair and dissapered (it couldent have left the
room without us seing it as we where by the door). we told my mum but
she just laughed.
the sconed thing that happend frequently was the bathroom
taps whould go on by them selves also one time we woke up to find
ketchup all over the kitchen floor, I mean EVERYWARE not just in one
blob and bits of the bottle lying around the kitchen.
the last thing that happend when my friend was sleeping
over, it was late and my mum had whent out to the petrol station to get
some snacks for us, we were sitting in the living room and i had decided
to play a board game. I whent into my room to get it, leaving the light
off because i knew where it was, i picked it up and turned to leave when
i saw, about 6 feet from the floor, a head flot through the wall. io
froze absolutlty terrified. It stopped and tunend. it looked at me,
right at me. I screamed and bolted franticaly to the living room. I told
my friend what i saw but he did not believe me and whent to cheak it
out. He saw nothing. A few months later we moved.
