These events all took
place in our house in Round Rock, Tx. I did not experience them
first hand, but they were recounted to me by my wife, Kelly.
We have two daughters, Sara, was almost three,
and the youngest Lucy, was only about four months when things
started happening.
One day, Sara had been playing in her room,
and my wife was in the living room with Lucy. Sara came into the
living room and said "Mom, my toys were jumping, there is someone in
my toy", my wife thought that was kind of strange, but blew it off.
Then Sara said, "And who is that boy in my room?" Being pre-occupied
with a new born, and thinking Sara just had an active imagination,
my wife said "I don't know, go play with him" Sara said "NO!, he's
mean, he hit me" Now, kids can have very active imaginations, but
for a 3 year old, this was a little extreme, so my wife probed her
for more information. She asked "He hit you? Where?" Sara replied,
"He hit me in the stomach" Kelly asked "Well, what does he look
like" Sara said "He has black hair, and blue eyes, and he walks
funny, I think his leg is hurt" By this point, Kelly is a little
freaked out, so she goes to look in Sara's room, of course, there is
nothing there. But Sara refuses to go back into her room. So Kelly
takes Sara and Lucy into our bedroom to play on the bed. All of a
sudden, Sara's eyes got really wide, and he dove under the covers,
at about the same time Lucy looked in the same direction that Sara
had been looking, and started bawling. But my wife saw nothing.
That was the first incident.
A few weeks later, we got a kitten. And, try
as we might we could not keep her from going into the girls rooms.
Sara did not like having her door shut all the way when she was
sleeping, but that was the only way to keep the cat out so thats
what we did.
At this point, Kelly was still nursing Lucy,
and one night while she was in Lucy's room (which was also the
computer room)feeding her, she closed the door, so the cat wouldn't
bother her. Shortly into the feeding, the cat began scratching at
the door. Usually she would give up if she could'nt easily push it
open. This time she just kept trying, and trying, she really wanted
in, finally, she managed to push the door open (the door didn't
latch all the way) and as soon as she got in, the computer's monitor
came on by itself. I think the cat was trying to protect them from
something.
A few days later, Sara had to go potty, so
Kelly was going with her to the bathroom. As they got closer to the
dark bathroom, Kelly caught something in the bathroom from the
corner of her eye, but said nothing, at the same time, Sara stopped
dead in her tracks, and said "Mommy, whos in there?" Being calm,
Kelly said, "There's no one in there baby" and turned on the lights,
there was nothing there, but they both got they feeling that there
was. Later that day, our friend Joan came over with her little boy
Brian. who is the same age as Sara. Now, Brian is the type of kid
who runs into the house and heads straight for the toys, he won't
even stop to say HI. That day, as usual, as soon as Kelly opened
the door to let them in, Brian raced by her, straight to Sara's room
to play, today however, before he got to Sara's room, he stopped.
Trying to see into the room better, and sounding nervous he said
"Kelly, Whos in there?" Kelly assured him that there was no one in
there. The feeling must have passed for him, or maybe hes just the
typical fearless kid, but he said "OK" and went in to play. Nothing
else happened that day.
I had to go to Miami on business one week,
which left Kelly home alone with the kids for two nights. When I
got home, she told me that the first night that I was gone, she was
woken up to the sheets being pulled off of her. She grabbed them
and pulled them back up. It happened again the next night. From
then on, when I was gone, she slept with the TV on, and only the
comforter covering her. It never happened again.
The only experience I myself had, if you can
even call it an experience, was one night while trying to fall
asleep, I heard the very distinctive sound of a book falling, you
know, pages flipping and then a thud as it hit the ground. Thinking
Sara was up messing around, I went to check on her, only to find her
fast asleep. I never did find the book.
All of these incidents got my wife curious, so
she and Joan decided to get out the Oujia board. They asked if
anyone was in the house, the pointer went to YES, she asked, how
many spirits are here? It said THREE, a man, a little boy, and a
little girl. She asked what is your name? It said "Paul". She
said, why are you here? It repeated HOME, over and over. At that
point, even I was getting a little freaked out, even though I had
never personally experienced any of this. So one night when I was
alone in the house, I spoke outloud to "Paul", I said "Look, I
understand that you believe this is your home, and I am ok with
that, you can stay, but please do not make your presence known to me
or my family" We had no other experiences after that.
I later asked my neighbor, who had been a
Police Officer in Round Rock, if he knew anything about our house.
He said that about 8 years before we moved in, someone killed
themselves in a house on our street, but he couldn't remember which
house it was. I guess i'll never know.
A Friend's Mom's Ghost Story
|
|
Well, she was a teenager, her name was Maggie. She moved alot, therefor
she was used to old and new houses. At the time when she was moving, her
horse was extremely sick. It was about to die. I do not know what it was
from, but all I know is that, that ghost wanted to help. When she got in
to her bedroom, there was nothing, of corse. But when she opened the
closet door...there was a book of some sort. I do not re-call the name
but that book was about horses , how to save them. And it just so
happens that it was open to the page that had the sickness that her
horse had. That book was so close to saving that horse. If they would
have moved in one day earlier and found the book, i bet they could of
saved it.
Another scary one of hers in that house was when her and her brothers
were playing poker. Maggie was loseing. And was putting her face down on
the table, beacuse she was mad that she was loseing. By the way, she was
sitting right behind her basement door. And her basement door was open,
for varouis reasons. While she had her head on the table, a angry mad
voice screamed from down stairs. Plus, no one was down stairs . In exact
words, it yelled "Maggie", her name. She quikly perked her head up and
looked behind her. Then...all of the sudden, the huge lamp above the
table where they were playing, fell. The ghost saved her life. I know
this, not just from my head, from facts of her story. Not all ghosts are
bad. Ghosts freak you out for reasons. You just have to let them happen
and see what happens, you might get your life saved, thats what counts.
Thank you for letting me share.
I love to hear ghost stories and I love your site.
Best of wishes. Bye!

Grandfather's Ring
Once there was a little girl who loved her grandfather
immensely. She would sit next to him on the porch swing outside
in back and play with the large diamond Masonic ring he never
otherwise removed. He told her that someday she would have the
ring since she liked it so much. He died when she was just shy
of seven years old, and the ring was passed to the little girl's
mother for safe keeping.
The ring was huge, a man's ring size thirteen, for her
grandfather had been a very large man. She could never hope to
actually wear the ring on her hand, so when she was about eleven
years old, she began wearing the ring on a cord around her
neck. Of course, children are forever losing things, and it was
only time before she discovered the ring had disappeared from
her neck. She cried and searched for days, to no avail. It was
gone.
After several weeks had passed, the girl, who was by then about
thirteen, walked into her bedroom one night after everyone had
gone to bed. Sitting on the end of her bed was her
grandfather. His hands rested upon his knees, and when she
walked in and stopped he looked up at her and nodded, as if she
had just told him something and he was getting ready to answer.
And then he spoke to her. "You lost my ring?" he said. She
could only nod in answer. "Yep, well, the cord broke," he went
on. "I will tell you where it is this time, but if you ever
lose it again, you will lose it forever. Look under the
building, where you were playing volleyball at school, next to
those buildings that are up off the ground like trailers. It is
under one of those, in the tall weeds."
The girl could only stare in disbelief as her grandfather stood
and turned to the bedroom window. He looked back at her and
smiled, and when he reached for the window, he vanished.
The girl awoke in her room with a start. She did not remember
falling asleep with the light on, but she did remember what her
grandpa had told her, although she was sure she must have been
dreaming their conversation. Nevertheless, she took her best
friend to the portable class buildings, which were up on stilts,
at school the next day, which was Saturday. One of the
buildings was overgrown with weeds underneath, but she crawled
under the building and began searching though the dried foliage
until she found what she was looking for--her grandpa's ring,
still attached to the broken cord that had held it.
When I was eighteen years old, I removed my grandfather's
Masonic ring from the gold chain I'd replaced the cord with and
placed it in my mother's jewelry box just before I went to
college; I didn't want to lose it somewhere. My mother's house
was subsequently broken into and robbed, and my grandpa's
Masonic ring, with the four one-carat diamonds across its top,
must have been quite a prize for the burglars to see. True to
my grandpa's warning, I never saw it again. I do have a picture
of it, though, and the memories of him sitting next to me as I
played with it on a porch swing in the sun.

when i was 13 years old, i had to stay alone one night because my
parents had gone to a party. The day went by normally, and around 11 i
went to my bed and turned the light on as i usually do. It usually
wouldnt take me too long to fall asleep, but tonight for some reason i
couldnt get to sleep. As i was laying in my bed, looking straight up
into the ceiling with my light and music on, when suddenly both the
light and the music suddenly turned off. I assumed that the power had
gone off and decided to go downwstairs for a flashlight when i saw her.
just a person looking at me! then the light flickered back on and she
was gone. i was so freaked out that i went around turning on all the
lights in the house. the house was shining brightly for awhile, then all
of a sudden, the lights went off again. I never believed in ghosts
before, but this was too weird i was getting really scared and shaky.

HAUNTED WOODS
There was once this house i used to live
in when i was eight with my mom dad and sister. I remember it was
the only house for miles and it was surronded by woods so at night
it was really freaky. The house itself was about 20 years old and had
a lot of history but the woods were hundreds and hundreds of years
old. One cold night about 1 year after we moved in i heard a
scratching at the window but i thought it was just my dog abby or my
two cats leo and ginger. so i went to let the animals in .But when i
opened the door to my suprise it was empty i called for my mom and
dad and they came running i said mom i heard scratching at the door
but nothings here.
My mom gasped and i looked down to my
horror my cat leos red ribbon that was on his neck was on the
ground. leo i cried and ran outside hoping to see him run towards me
but instead nothing. Well i eventualy got lost in the woods i
walked for what seemed like days i was very cold. Suddenly i heard a
crackling sound from behind me i turned around and a red figure was
standing there i took off running and happily ended up in my front
yard. i walked in to the house and abby ginger and LEO happily
greeted me. my sister brianna walked up to me and scolded where have

Well i began i got lost in the woods
and...
i think i saw a ghost it was red and

remember she was screaming because her gold wedding ring had
dissapeared. The next morning we walked down to breakfast and a
