The Old Branch Road,North Sydney,Nova Scotia

We turned down the Old Branch and started driving at a slower pace then usual. We turned a corner and all of the sudden, a car turned up behind us and started to  follow us, we got pretty freaked out so my friend started to drive a bit faster. As she was speeding up, I looked at her and thought that i saw a flash of lightening over in the direction of a lake that's nearby. i said something about it and we both just sat there quietly as we drove along.
We started to see somemore stuff as we drove further in. We saw what looked like...objects ahead of us and off tothe side but, everytime we looked in that direction, there wouldn't be anything there. The fog was extremely dense in areas, and in other places it would be clear. As we continued on, we saw a bat flying right above the car so we figured everything was cool. Then as we reached yet another turn, the fog became so dense that  my friend could see better with her daylights on. We headed up toward the fork in the road and just before we reached it my friend squealed out an OMG and asked if I saw what she just saw. I replied that all I saw was a junebug that had flown in the headlights then she said whatever she saw was on the side of the road and looked brown but it didn't look like an animal.
Right then and there I said, thank God we're almost out of here.
Not a word of lie, the second I said that, the fog came back, the road was suddenly a huge mess with deep puddles (potholes) everywhere, and nothing looked familiar. We both knew that we took the exact same way just a few days before in the daytime. Then, I looked out my friend's window and said OMG, there's the lake again.
We both knew then and still know now that you only pass that lake once and that's when you first enter. We kept driving...I mean really, what else could we do? I figured we were lost for sure but how was that possible when we had taken the same route just a few days before? Does that place change at night? I know it sounds silly but at that point in time I was that scared I didn't know what to think. We were both almost crying.
We drove for about 5 more minutes until things began to look familiar again. Then we hit the main road for George's River. We ended up going through grand Narrows, which was a different route to George's River then what we took before. As we were on the outskirts or the River, there were pole lights on almost every pole and none were on for quite a while.
Then we take a turn and see a guy maybe a few years younger then us, (between 17-19), walking along the side of the road right next to us. He turned around and looked right at the car and stared at me and my friend.
There was no way possible that he could see anything ahead, behind,or to either side of him. It was pitch black. Iwanted her to turn the car around and go back to see if he was still there but she said no, I'd rather not know. I was happy in a way that she didn't
go back. But I'm still wondering.
As we kept driving, my friend joked, kind of, and said that there was a car behind us and that it had appeared out of nowhere. We didn't realize until it got up behind us, (like 2 mins later), that it was a transfer turck and it was coming at a pretty steady pace. My friend put her signal light to turn toward Barraochois but she had to speed up and pull over to the side of the road instead because he was going way to fast. He would have hit us if we had of turned...to say the least.
I felt like everything was too much and that anything could happen. After everything we had experinced so far, why wouldn't I think that?
When we got to more familiar surroundings, my friend pulled onto yet another dirt road that leads to a place near Barraochois known as The Geln and parked to put some oil in her car. I felt at ease there. It seemed peaceful. We were even saying that to one another, how this place didn't give us a creepy feeling. When she got out of the car, I started to feel uneasy again. i tried to shrug it off thinking that I was still freaked by everything else and there we were, still basically in the middle of nowehere in the middle of the woods again.
She put the oil in the car and walked back to the turnk to put the bottle back and it took her 4 or 5 attempts to get the trunk closed. It kept popping open. She was slamming it down that hard that she was shaking the whole car. When she got back in the car, I asked her if that had ever happened before and she said no, never. I had my window down a bit and I swear that I heard footsteps off to our right and I just said let's go,now please. So we headed for Barraochois. We talked about all the messed-up stuff that happened and everytime we would, believe us or not, the fog would come back.
Another thing that we neglected to mention at the beginning of our story was that after driving down Old Branch Road for about 20 minutes, my lighter went missing. The reason we waited until now to mention it is because my friend had it in her hand when we reached George's River. She swore that she never had it the whole time I was wondering where it was, and she said that she had used her own to light her cigarette. When I asked her where her lighter was she had no idea. She looked in her purse a few seconds later and found it. We looked for my lighter for 5 minutes when it first went missing and couldn't find it anywhere. Then POOF! About 40 minutes later or more, its in her hand after I had JUST said that I wish I knew where it was. Hey like I said to her, It could be worse they could have taken our smokes or both lighters, then we would have went crazy. But anyway, that's our story. Take it for what you want. I know one thing without a doubt in my mind after our experience tonight...we both know that some kind of ghostly errie presence is out in those woods. Believe us or not, we know that every bit of this happened exactly as it's written.

The Final Goodbye, My story by jody

As a child i grew up with the family dog (Mitzy) .
It is said( by my folks) that right from the word go .Mitzy and i were inseperable.Mitzy was very caring and proctective of me at such a young age, every year that went by was a another year our bond got stronger.

On arriving home from school one day at the age of six,
there was no Mitzy waiting at the gate for me.
In her place was my mother ,Mum were is Mitzy"i asked".
Mum proceded to tell me that she had got out the gate
and would find her way home soon.

The next night Mitzy still hadn't come home.I refused to go to bed and would not be swayed, untill Mitzy was home safe and curled up on the end of my bed.
I fell asleep finally after wearing myself and my parents out.

During the late evening or early morning.I awoke to the sound of wining in my room.
There was Mitzy tail wagging and bouncing around in all her glorie.
So out of bed i sprung and of to tell mum i went.
Mum said i burst into her room and blerted out that Mitzy had come home and she was in my room.I also told her that Mitzy was'nt alone, some old man had brought her home to us.
Got back to my room to find neather Mitzy or the old man  there.

Many years latter, after seing a photo of Mitzy and I,
i asked why do you think she ran away again and never came home.

Mums reply was ,Mitzy never ran away, we took her to the vet as she was very old, tired and had her put to sleep.

So there is alot to be said of the bond we develop with our pets, Im glad she came to say so long (even if i don't remember). Mitsys Final Goodbye.

Ghost Story

My first inconter of a ghost was when I was 16 which now would be two years ago. I was visiting my friend for the night. Her house always gave me the spookes and I knew it had to be haunted but I was quite sure. Her House was located right beside a graveyard. Which looked like no one has visisted for ages. The grass was uneven and it always had a light fog hovering over it at night. But that night I was over at my friends house and I was 16, I was about to fall a sleep when I heard a loud bang. I was surprised no one woke up . I sat up in the bedroom and tried to wake up my friend but she just fell back asleep. So I got up and went towards the sound that I heard. To my surprise I saw the chair knocked over. I started to get really freaked out. But then I reasured myself that is was most likely the dog. When I turned to walk back to bed. I heard the bang of the chair hitting the floor. I quickly turned around there was no one there. No dog, nobody. So I sprinted to the bedroom and covered myself with the blanket. I then heard a door opening then shutting. I thought to myself "who could be going outside at this time?" So I walked over to the open window and peered out side. My heart skipped and I felt really light headed. I saw a little girl walking towards the graveyard. She was wearing clothes that looked like it was from a long time ago. By this time I was freaked out. I shook my friend and woke her up. I slowly explained everything to her. She said to me that this has happend to her before. And she told her mother her mother said that along time ago before they owned this house that a little girl got hit by a car. Right outside her house. And this was her house and she was barried in the graveyard right beside us.. So my friend said, "thats what explains what happened just a few minutes ago. I was totally freaked out. But I decidied to forget about it. But after that I haven't been able to sleep in that house. Because after that incounter I have always seen her at my friends.

This is A ture story...............

me and my cousin
my family all has some sense, most try to pretend they don't. but in my
generation my cousin erika and me have the strongest senses.. and we laerned
early on that being together amplifies it. over half of both of our baby
pictures (we were born on opposite sides of the world within 1 month of each
other) and childhood pictures have orbs of multiple colors and sizes in
them. but in every picure of us together (especially when taken within the
houses of our relatives) there are other people who were not present or
other anomilies. for a few months when we were 8 we shared bunkbeds, but
neither really wanted to sleep on the top, so we'd take turns. once, my
mother came in halfway through the night and a shelf that was securly
screwed into the wall had UNSCREWED and was over my head, while my arms were
still tucked securly into my covers.
then it was my cousin's turn on that bunk. both of us woke up at two am and
she fell, with the blankets still draped neatly over her straight down,
landing still flat on her back three feet from the side of the bunk bed!
objects would move in front of us, and we would "feel" a man moving through
the rooms we occupied. then my seinor year she was visiting for a week and
she posed in my band uniform late one night in my room (the same room with
all the other occurences) and in the mirror behind her, reflected was a
bright sunny morning... it was 11pm!! and beside her is a window that shows
how pitch black it is outside!!!
we have so many other experiences that i will never be able to tell you all
of them.. but both of us now seem to be drawn twards unrestful houses, i
just got rid of the last one... whoever can talk to ghosts.. tell them
nobody likes to be stared at!! :)

Angie's Ghost Story

In February of 1999 me and my boyfriend moved into the house he grew up in. We lived there for a total of about 2 years. During that time many different things happened. I always asked him if anything had ever happened in the house and he would tell me "No". I would see cats running down the hallway and darting into bedrooms... we only had a dog. I also had someone push me a few times in the hallway and knew it wasn't my boyfriend because I was facing him while we were having a conversation. There was also this back room full of junk, that was always kinda dark and scary to me, and this was also the room I'd see "cats" dash into every now and then. The scariest things was every once in a while, our bedroom would fly open in the middle of the night and bang against the wall. We always shut our bedroom door tightly, so if was very freaky. At one point, we had a friend stay with us for a while, but never told him about the instances. One morning, he woke up all freaked out and asking if we had entered his room during the night. Of course we didn't. He said that his bedroom door flew open in the middle of the night waking him up. He thought he saw me standing in his doorway and called out my name. When there was no response he called out my boyfriend's name. The figure didn't answer, but seem to lean forward as if it was trying to get a closer look at him in bed. He said it eventually got to the foot of his bed. He pulled the covers over his head and laid there a few minutes. He then mustered up the courage to jump out of bed ans flip the light on and of course nothing was there. After we move out of that house my boyfriend finally told me that someone had died in that house in the back room. He knew if he had told me sooner that I would have moved out.
