Crying Baby?

This is a story that has been handed down from generation

to generation. I can not say for sure that it is true but, judging from our family history, it's just one more vegetable in our pot of soup.

The story goes as follows...

A newlywed couple had just recently purchased an old farm

house in the rural area along the old river road that runs along side the Mississippi River in Louisiana.

The houses were far and few between. Your nearest neighbor was not what you would call within walking distance.

Since they were a newly married couple and new to the area

they naturally knew no one.

Exicited as they were to begin thier new life together, neither

one one had questioned the great deal that they had recieved on the house they had bought.

The only thing on thier mind was thier future together and how happy they were.

The first night in thier home should have been one filled with passionate love, but that was not to be the case.Early after the couple had retired for the evening, thier lovemaking was interrupted by the sound of a baby crying. Since neither of them knew anything about the neighbors, they just assumed that one of thier nieghbors probably had a baby and resumed thier night of passion.

However, this pattern of crying continued nightly for the rest of the week.

Eventually, the couple became concerned about the crying since each night it grew in intensity. Now, there was no lovemaking going on. Just a curiosity as to where the sound was coming from. Who had this baby and why was it always crying?

The weekend eventually came and come Saturday, the neighbors just to the south of them came to welcome them and brought along a freshly baked sweet potato pie. The couple quickly became comfortable with thier new neighbors and decided to go ahead and ask about the crying baby.

Both husband and wife looked confused for a second. No one in the area had a baby. The youngest child they knew of was already ten years old. Well, not wanting to look foolish the couple decided to change the subject and let it go for now.

Later that night, just as it had every night that week, the crying occured again.

Now the couple began to stress, just a bit. After discussing the issue they decided that in the morning they would go down to the local church and inquire about any recent births in the area. Churches in the south still record any and all local happenings in thier local parishes.

True to thier word, bright and early, the couple went to the

rectory. They met with Father Christopher and were shocked to find that there was no record of any recent births in the area.

The couple decided that they would just try to ignore the crying from now on as best they could. But, just as every night before, just after the couple retired, the crying began again. This time the crying intensified, drawing the couple toward the sound. It led them to the living room where they traced it to the fireplace. After carefully checking each brick the husband found several loose bricks, which he began to remove.

Much to thier surprise, the couple found stashed behind the fireplace bricks, a small shoebox.

They carefully removed the lid and there, inside, lay the skull of an infant. They were naturally stunned, and deciced to call the police.

The police came, And they were actually just as confused as the couple. Late night calls were made to the parish priest and Father Christopher came and took control of the situation.

A mass was said for the baby that Sunday and the remains were buried in the local cemetary.

The couple no longer heard the cries.

But, the investigation led to nothing. No one knew who's baby it was since the people that had owned the house before were childless and elderly.

No one was ever held responsible. No other remains were ever found. But the couple did resume thier lives as if nothing had ever happened.

Leahanna's Story

It was sometime in the year 2001 when i was sitting at the dinner table, and my friend had found out one of our good friends had just gotten hit by a car while ridding a bike and died. When she got the news, she came and told me right away.

That night,we were all in bed, and i just couldn"t sleep for the longest time. when i finally fell asleep i had a dream about my friend who had passed away, the same one. It was strange, it was like he was trying to get my attention, he was walking across the wall that went along the sidewalk of a school yard, he was with a friend, and he reached his hand out like he wanted me to grab it.

As i went to reach for his hand i woke up.

The next morning, when i woke up all i could think about was that dream and what it was supposed to mean.

That night i myself and some other people were in the living room waiting for dinner to be ready.

In this house was a ramp and up the ramp a little ways there was a window sill where you could see right into the kitchen.

Iwalked up the ramp with my hand on the railing when all of a sudden i saw my friend who had passed away siting in the window sill of the kitchen, he looked like a ghost, but i knew it was him, i was shocked and a little scared, Iturned back to look to see if he was still there, but he was gone, he had vanished. As i passed the window sill i felt something across my hand, like a wind, its a feeling that i cant explain, but i quickly removed my hand and went about the night, but the feeling, sights and dreams never came back ever again.

Fighting Rabbit

We moved to this place, and a few months later my dog, Mania was growling his head off. I tried to calm him down, yet he kept growling. I said, "Mania, what's your problem?" He barked and bit at something. I couldn't see anything. Let me tell you something about Mania. He's friendly, except for small animals. He won't hurt cats. One night, my cat, Boba hissed at nothing. Boba will hiss at anything, yet nothing WAS there. She jumped on to whatever it was. It was strange. A cut appeared on the inside of her ear. She fought with something, and it cut her. Then, one night, I found a spot of white fur on the carpet. I don't have any white animals, so I wondered.....

Later, I was talking to the people who live next to me. They said, "Yeah, those people who had the house before had a white rabbit. The thing would fight you. It's dead now. Dog killed it."

Later, I saw a rabbit for a second. It was there. Then it hopped, then disseapered. I moved away, yet the person that moved in had a hamster and a black rabbit.....
