My "accurance"
my name is pablo im 14 now.. my "accurance" happened when i was probably
... 9 or 10 or around that age... although it probably wont seem like much
compared to some of the stories ive read about... it was some what freaky
to me and my friend.. it was after church one night and we were hanging out
on some stairs on the back of my church {the led to the second story} well
i heard my dad plainly call out my name.. as most kids who dont like their
parents always on em i was like "man what does he want now" well we went
back into the church and asked my dad what he wanted.. he looked at me like
i was stupid and said i didnt call you.. so just thinking someone was playing
with us or something we just blew it off and went back outside.. when we
got almost to the steps again we heard loud foot steps like someone was running
down the stairs {they were metal stairs so they were pretty loud} we looked
and no one was there... then a trail of "flashy" red and white lights were
flashing all across that little area of the stairs.. me and my friend looked
at each other and "ran to our mommys"... not too scary? well maybe not but
when your ten things like that can trip you out just a lil! thanx for listening!

Barbados Coffins
The island of Barbados is formed for the most part of thick limestone. In
the early 1800s a wealthy plantation family had a burial vault hollowed out
of it in Christ Church cemetery, overlooking the fishing village of Oistins.
First to be placed in this coral cavern were the remains of one Thomasina
Goddard, who died in 1807. The opening was sealed with a marble slab.
The vault was next opened in 1816 to admit the coffin of an 11-month-old
child. Strangely, Mrs. Goddard's heavy coffin (coffins were said to be lined
with lead in those days) had been thrown across the space and was damaged.
After replacing Mrs. Goddard's coffin, and setting that of the child in place,
the vault was sealed once again.
When, a mere month later, the vault had to be opened for yet another relative
of the Chases, the Rector and a magistrate were in attendance. They found
Mrs. Goddard's coffin almost broken to bits and the child' s flung about.
By this time, much curiosity was directed at the vault, and stonemasons checked
the walls and floor of the cavern for cracks or hidden entrances. There were
none, and this was recorded by a bystander. The coffins being repaired and
reorganized, the door was sealed now with mortar.
In 1819, The Governor of the Island, along with Viscount Combermere, the
commander of the garrison, numerous clergy, and two aides, stood witness
to the opening of the vault for the coffin of Thomasina Clark.
The vault was a complete jumble. One coffin was close to the entrance; the
childrens' were on the floor. Mrs. Goddard's seemed not to have been disturbed.
Once again, the vault was found to be secure; impenetrable.
This time, the floor was ordered sprinkled with fine sand and the sealing
mortar impressed in several places with the Governor's own seal.
In 1820 many dignitaries were present when the vault had to be opened yet
again. The Governor's seals were seen to be intact, but the slab that formed
the door resisted the efforts of two men to open it, and two more had to
be summoned. The difficulty was, one of the heavy coffins was resting against
the slab. A chaotic scene greeted those present at the opening. All the coffins
had been tossed about; one of them flung violently against the wall. And
there were no traces in the sand save the tracks of disturbed coffins.
At this time, it was decided to prevent further desecration by burying the
coffins separately in the churchyard and permanently sealing the vault.
There are many theories about these happenings, and many accounts can be
read at the Barbados Historical Society. It is to be expected that seismic
activity has been cited as a cause, but there was no evidence of this at
the time. And the churchyard is on a hill, out of reach of ocean storms and
floods.

Neighbors Ghost
Actually this happened to my brother. One day, I forgot when, our neighbors
grandmother died. We went to her funeral and after all that we got tired
and we went to sleep( My two brothers and I sleep in the same room). And
about 1:00 AM my brother (Edwin) woke up about 1:00 AM only to find our neighbors
grandmother's ghost in our room. I had my feet uncovered so she got my blanket
and covered my feet. My brother wanted to scream but couldn't. So she walked
close to him and put her finger his lips and just smiled. Then she faded
slowly. He didn't believe in ghost before but now he does. So that's my story.

Anneka's Story
Ever since my mu was younger she has experienced seeing spirits. She would
never lie about any of this as she never wanted to scare me. To her its
nothing, its just another one of those things that you cant do anything
about, but i find it interesting.
Im extremely scared of death so I hope that there is more after it.
ill tell you what she has seen and see what you think.
1. When she was younger living here in England but with her mother, something
drew her to her bedroom window when she was supposed to be sleeping. When
she looked there was a woman next door in the garden with her head tilted
to
one side. She took this to mind and got her mother, there was nobody there
when her mother came up. My mum described the woman, she was told to stop
being stupid as the woman next door had hanged herself several years ago.
2. My mum went into her parents room to get something, she opened the door
where stood a huge black dog with piercing green eyes, mouth wide open ready
to pounce off of the bed onto my mum, she tried to turn the light on but
before she had the chance the dog turned and pounced through the wall. She
told her mum and she replied " i know what youve seen, its nothing to worry
about, it wont hurt you".
3.We moved to Bude in cornwall, we looked at a really old house which i
didn't like, i stood by the door and sulked, i wanted something new. We
bought this house and moved in.
What my mum didn't tell me was whilst we were waiting for the estate agent
to
arrive she saw an old woman at the lounge window.
When we moved in she described the woman to the neighbours and sure enough
it
was Mrs Croft, the old owner.
3. We bought a hotel in Bude. We then moved to Portugal. My mum then told
me
she was sitting in the office the kitchen door open, this meant that you
could see into the restaurant. She saw a victorian man run through, she
assumed it was a joke and chased after him. She asked the cleaner where he
had gone, she replied "who"?
Now i didn't think that i believed this until the other day. I now live in
somerset, my boyfriend and i had broken up at the time so i thought id take
a walk to think, i sat at the church, NOT a graveyard, they scare me!!! I
looked at the illuminated star for a while then looked at the church
entrance, to the right of it a sad little girl, very pretty, with long hair
and a long coat stood there. At this point i freaked and ran to the pub where
i had a good few vodkas!!!!
if you don't believe me, i don't mind but i always believe my mum, and i
know
that im not mad!!!!!
