Weird Occurences
My encounters with the supernatural have been going on
for a few years. If I recall correctly, it all began
in 8th grade.
It was a nice day, and I was walking home with my
friend. (we live in the same neighborhood) I waved
goodbye to her, and took out my key. I was, and still
am, home alone until after 4:00 usually. I had been
since 6th grade, and absolutely loved it. But this day
felt strange. I turned the key in the door, and it
seemed to almost open by itself. Also, I could have
sworn I saw a human hand behind the door, but when I
looked behind the door and around, there was nobody
there.
I thought it was weird, but shook it off.
My next weird experience(s) took place during April
vacation. I was home alone, and felt kind of bored, so
I called one of my friends. We talked for a while, and
after we hung up I turned on the T.V. and watched
Jerry Springer or something. After it ended, I was
reading a book for school, and heard weird creaking
noises coming from downstairs. (I was on the 2nd floor
at the time) I ignored it, and kept on reading. A few
minutes later, it started again, this time louder. I
put my book down, and got the phone, in case it was
somebody so I could call 911. I sat still for a
minute, then yelled "Hello!!!" No answer. I rolled my
eyes, figuring the wood was creaking by itself. I
continued reading, and then the creaking started
again. I then got pissed instead of freaked, and
started cursing...then put on some really loud
music.Nothing else happened.
The next happened during the summer when I was
vacationing in Greece. It was June, and I was in my
grandmother's apartment. I was jet lagged and tired,
so I remained there and my grandmother and mom went
out to eat. It was nighttime, and I was watching music
videos, and then I could have sworn I saw my
grandfather's figure in the hallway from the corner of
my eye. Maybe I should mention the fact that he died
in 1995 in the very room, on the very couch, I was
watching T.V. on. I decided I was just tired, and kept
watching T.V.
I met a good friend of mine, who claims to have seen
aliens up close. She never talked about it much, but I
believe her, because she has no motive to lie, and she
is not the type of person to lie.
After I returned, and the summer was winding down, it
was a summer afternoon when I heard the front doorknob
rattling from the inside. I was too scared to move
for a few seconds, but when it stopped, I leaped up,
grabbed a knife, and started yelling something like
"What the f--- do you want?...Leave me alone
mothaf----!" And it went really quiet...
The next strange thing didn't happen until early
September. I was home alone (of course) and it was
around 7:00. I was studying in my room, and suddenly
heard a weird crashing noise from upstairs. It sounded
like someone, more likely than something, fell.
I blame these occurrences on poltergeists (except the
one with my grandfather's apparition), since they
supposedly attain energy from teenagers, (like me!!!)
and ghosts aren't much of a possibility since my house
was built in the mid-1980's...unless it was built on
Indian burial grounds or something, and are
mischievous rather than harmful. It's really freaky,
and I constantly have the feeling that someone is
watching me and following me almost everywhere and
it's really annoying...if anybody knows anything that
can make it go away, please e-mail me at
Cleopatra54100@yahoo.com. Thanks for reading. :-)
Haunted House on 15th Avenue
When I was a child of eight years old in 1964, my father and mother bought
a house on 15th Ave. in Sheffield Alabama, the house was a two story house
built back in the twenties and it had fourteen windows knocked out of it.
my father did all the work fixing it up and finally it was a beautiful home
anyone would be proud to live in. the man told my parents that a baby had
died in the house a long time ago, but that didn’t bother them any for they
said they had never harmed the child so there would be nothing to be afraid
of. well as I got older and moved out on my own I did the natural thing,
I got married and had two beautiful kids. when my father died in 1991 he
willed the house to mother who later died in 1994. well I got the house and
lived there for a while, until the dreaded day I bought a ouija board. I
was always curious about them because I do not believe in them at all. we
sat down many times and tried to get it to work for us but it never would.
we had a medium work it for us and she told us the spirit in the board was
a little 5 year old boy named Micah who had been killed by his father with
a razor strap. he would not work for me because he said I reminded him of
his father and that he was scared of me. well that got me even more interested.
after several attempts he still would not communicate with us. people have
told me never try to work the board when you are alone for the spirit would
come out of the board and take control. now my curiosity was really running
wild. one day while my kids were at school and my then ex wife was at work,
I started messing with the board, I told the spirit that if he was really
real to come out of the board and reveal himself to me. I think he revealed
himself to everyone but me. after a little while my daughter started hearing
strange noises. one night she woke us up crying saying that she heard something
that sounded like somebody running there fingernails down a chalkboard, I
told her to go back to sleep for she was only having a bad dream. she wound
up sleeping with us that night, she was 15 years old. we woke up the next
morning to notice that on the mirror on our headboard, we saw what looked
to be like someone had ran there wet sticky fingers down the mirror. they
also discovered blood on every other step going up the stairs to the attic.
it seemed like one bad thing lead to another. my daughter got sick for a
while, my wife left me for another man, I got hurt on the job and was off
work for 6 weeks. my daughter was seeing images in the TV screen even though
the TV was off. well we moved out of the house but I still had possession
of it. I have now remarried but do not live in the house. one day my new
wife and daughter went back to the house to get a few things when about ten
minutes into getting the stuff they heard noises coming from the attic as
if someone was moving furniture around. well let me say that they didn’t
let any grass grow under there feet getting out of there. just before me
and my new wife Pam got married we had a pretty good car so we moved to a
mountain area in Colbert county, the car started giving us a lot of trouble,
I would fix one thing and something else would break down on it. it wasn’t
until I opened the trunk one day and moved some old clothes around that low
and behold there was that ouija board. I tried to burn it but it would not
burn, so I took it and broke it over my knee. ever since then my life has
been just wonderful. I don’t know if the ouija board had anything to do with
it or not but I will never have another one. oh yes I bought a house one
block behind the one on 15th Ave, as a matter of fact I can look out my front
door and see the back of the house. I did sell it 4 years ago. but it sure
seems strange that everybody that moves into that house only stays about
a month or two then moves out.
May the Spirits be with You
From childhood through to adulthood I have experienced many a
good and bad ghostly or supernatural encounters and have wanted
to share some of them with those who would be interested. It
starts as this......I was 2yrs when we, my mum and sister all of
6wks old, moved in with my Grandparents. My parents had split up
(eventually got divorced) and it seemed like the right thing to
do. My grandparents lived in Wrexham N.Wales ( the UK) in an old
part of town in a Victorian terraced house built for the middle
classes, it had five bedrooms, one was for the maid. When my
grandparents moved it had all the original servant bells and
pulls but as the sixties was they tore all this out and decorated
in foul greens and purples.
Life went as normal and my sister
and I were growing up when the first incident I can remember
happened. I was eleven and Nine, my sister, was nine. We were
playing at the back of the house were the garages were situated
it was a courtyard about 70m long and closed off with a 6ft wall
from the surrounding area. At the top of the courtyard there was
an old coach house that my grandfather had just bought of a
neighbour. Nine and I were playing and we heard a horse neighing
and a man shouting, it was coming from the garage. Thinking
what's a horse doing in our new very large garage we went to
investigate, as we opened the door a boy wearing flatcap and
shorts ran out and then to top if off a portly man wearing
wearing breeches and a very smart but old fashioned red coat
turned and shouted at us to " get out or I will get my belt" .
With that we ran straight to tell my grand dad who was very cross
to think that somebody was in his garage let alone a horse. When
we got there the door was open as we left it but there was nobody
in there. My grdd dismissed it as the vivid imagination of
children. Things were quiet for a while then when my Grandma
put clean bedding on her bed you would sometimes see an old lady
in old fashioned nightdress sitting up in my grandparents bed
reading a book. Sometimes in a very well spoken voice she would
say "I do like a nice clean bed" and then vanish. This used to
happen all the time. When my sister and came home from church
one Sunday we walked up our garden path and saw a little boy with
a cap looking at us through my sisters bedroom window. We didn't
think much of it as my grandma was very popular with children so
much so they all used to call her grandma. When we asked my
grandma about it she said she was the only one the house. We
never felt uncomfortable in fact it almost seemed natural and my
it reiterated when my Grandma was told in a church blessing that
her house would be a house that spirits would gather in as it was
always welcoming.
There were a number of events over the years some
small some big but none were bad until I was 16yrs. I was coming
out of school and was walking to catch the bus when I heard someone shout
my name, I turned to see who wanted me but there was
no-one that I recognized so I carried on. When getting on the
bus I sat in my usual seat third double seat from the back as not
to follow the crowd and sit at the back but still be cool were I
was sitting. This day was pretty quiet on the bus, there were
about seven people on it and nobody behind me, then all of sudden
I heard someone whisper my name as if right behind me, but of
course there was no-one there. I dismissed it and carried on.
When I reached my drop off point I got off and started my walk
back home then again I heard as if right behind me my name
whispered and felt someone breath on my neck I shot around and
there was no-one for about 20m. I felt very uncomfortable and as
if someone was watching so I hurried home. As I was going
through my backyard gate I heard my name in a loud whisper as
turned I saw the figure of young man in black overalls at the end
of the entry I could just make out the positively evil smile he
gave me and then he said "I will be coming for you"and then he
walked through a garden instead of the gate behind him.I ran in
and was visibly shaken and related what had happened to my
grandma and my mum who surprisingly believed me. About two weeks
later I was sent out to the chip shop for dinner, a five minute
walk, it had been a good day and I was pleased to being treated
to chips, when I arrived at the chip shop their was a que so I
lined up. Then somebody walked in behind me, which instantly
made me feel afraid and very uncomfortable. As not to be nosy I
continued to look forward, eventually I was being served but
there were two men serving and the other shouted next and a young
man about 18yrs stood there and stared at me with a really evil
smile on his face he was wearing black overalls and was very
grubby he looked like a mechanic and smelt strongly of petrol.
He ignored the man asking what he wanted and just stared and
smiled that chilling smile. He was then told to leave which he
did and he walked out of sight. On my way home I was a nervous
wreck, I was taking a short cut and then right in front of me he
appeared and said I told you I was coming for you and with that I
turned and ran for it this seemed like the logical thing to do as
I could run the 100m in 11.29seconds. After running for about
2minutes I stopped terrified but confident he couldn't catch me
then the smell off petrol hit me and there he was right behind me
and he whispered my name that was it although struck with the
feeling of impending doom I somehow managed to get running and
did so all the way home. I ran through the back door and locked
it and started talk very fast that he was coming for me......he
knows my name.......he whispers it.........he just
vanished.........hes coming to get me. My mum managed to calm me
down and got me onto a chair then we saw his face through the
window looking at me and then everyone in the kitchen everyone
saw him which relieved me a little my grand dad rushed outside to
confront him. He was out there for about 5 minutes and then he
came back in as white as a sheet and wouldn't talk about what had
happened other than he had seen him before.
Everything was quiet for awhile except
seeing his face through the window when I was with my
girlfriends. Until recently my eldest who is 13yrs told me about
this man who turns up every now and again in black overalls who
smells of petrol. He tells me that he has heard his name called
in the street on the bus in the car and at a friends house and
when he has looked their has been no-one there. He is a little
nervous and is shaken after hearing or seeing him. My son myself
and my grand dad are all very sensible rational people, I am not
afraid of anything in fact I am diplomatic bodyguard, I have a
masters degree in Business management and marketing and am 4th
dan black belt in Shotokan Karate and black belts in Brazilian
Jui Jitsu, Ninjitsu and have ten of Grecco Wrestling experience
and my son is a 2nd dan Shotokan Karate, we are not the type of
people who are fooled easily. As for my grand dad he has never
spoken about it so I am assume he knows more from that night he
went out get rid of him and came in and said that he had seen him
before.
Well, that's my story, one day I will find out
why my family are haunted by this man and whether he will haunt
my other four sons, but what concerns me most what does he mean
when he says "will be coming for you" the question is when will
he come and what will he do. I am at a loss as to what to do if
anyone can help be very grateful.
Thank You
Jay
