"I am"

"The Angels Will Vanish"

A little girl frowned.
An angel appeared, and asked her,
"Why are you unhappy, my child?"
The little girl suddenly felt joy in her heart.
"I am no longer sad, now that I see you."
she replied, with a smile.
The child's mother frowned.
An angel appeared, and asked the mother,
"Why are you sad, my lady?"
For a split second, the mother thought she
had heard a voice,
but decided it was just her imagination.
The mother still did not smile.
The father frowned.
An angel appeared, and asked the father,
"Why are you sad, my good sir?"
The father noticed nothing, and continued to be unhappy.
The little girl smiled.
"Why do you smile, child?"
her parents asked.
"Can't you see, you have no shoes to wear,
and no bread for your belly?"
The little girl cried.
"I did not realize, I had no shoes on my feet.
I did not notice, I had no food to eat."
The child stated, as she frowned.
An angel appeared, and asked the girl,
"Why are you sad, my child?"
The little girl answered,
"Because I have no shoes, and have I no food."
The angel waved her hand, and a pair of shoes,
and a loaf of bread, appeared at the little one's feet.
The angel spoke again,
"Now,
you have shoes,
now,
you have bread,
are you happy, my child?"
The girl replied,
"I am not happy. I was happy with nothing, when I did
not know I was without.
Now that I have this, I want more."
The angel vanished.
The girl wondered what had changed.
Then she realized, that 15 years had passed.
She thought to herself,
"Ahh, I see now. I see what happened,
I grew up."
She did not choose to grow,
she did not choose to learn.
The choice was made for her,
just as
it was made for you.
You can't stop time,
but you can choose
a path in your destiny.
If you choose to see angels,
if you choose to believe,
the angels,
will
choose
you.
If you choose to be selfish,
the angels
will vanish.
